Staff Profile

Annette Zou is a strategist, designer and researcher with expertise at the intersection of sustainability, integrative approaches, and innovation methodology. She returned to Australia in 2023 after seven years in the San Francisco Bay Area “Silicon Valley” in the US, where she worked at Stanford University to advance the field of systems innovation.

Most recently, she was a Research Director at the Climate Council, focusing on Australia's energy and industry decarbonisation. She holds a Master of Environmental Management and Development at ANU’s Crawford School.

Her background in game design and life-long interest in games drives an interest in building game-inspired systems to enhance the design of organisational culture and engagement in sustainability.
