Joanna Kay
Program Director, International Strategy, Partnerships and Engagement
Joanna Kay has over 18 years of experience across the public and private sectors in Australia, China, and India, specialising in energy policy, sustainable development, and international collaboration. Prior to joining the Superpower Institute, she served as Executive General Manager at the Smart Energy Council and as the Australian Government’s Specialist Advisor to the International Solar Alliance in Delhi.
Joanna is a board member at the Institute of Sustainability, Energy and Resources at Adelaide University, where she contributes to advancing global research in sustainability and energy management. She has also been instrumental in shaping Australia’s National Hydrogen Strategy and has served on the Advisory Board for the Scaling Green Hydrogen Cooperative Research Centre.
Joanna is currently pursuing an MBA (Research) at the University of New England. She has completed postgraduate study in Sustainable Development at Harvard University and executive leadership programs at Yale School of Management. Joanna was also recognised in The Australian’s Top 100 Energy Players on The Green List.
