South Australia has six advantages in the zero-emissions economy to an exceptional degree.

On August 6, 2024, Ross Garnaut presented at the South Australian Business Chamber, discussing South Australia’s pivotal role in the global transition to a zero-carbon economy.

Garnaut highlighted South Australia’s exceptional advantages, including superior wind and solar resources, rich mineral endowments and a strong industrial base and emphasised how the state could lead the green export transformation by leveraging these resources to drive economic growth while contributing significantly to global emissions reduction.
